Local Businesses Recognized by City Beautiful Commission

With an increase in vacant storefronts and crumbling facades within much of the city's business districts, it's important to recognize those entrepreneurs who go the extra mile to give Dearborn a little polish. It's amazing how far the standard in this town have fallen. O'sushi puts out a couple shabby planters and wins an award?? And Byblos Banquet Hall is a mess. 25 years ago these dumps would get acitation and today they get an award.

Did you see the home awards? What a joke! I think anyone who turned on a sprinkler for three days this summer got recognition. Pretty soon anyone who doesn't have a car parked in their front yard will get a prize.

Another well done project by city. Who are they trying to kid???? If this is the best-of-the-best - what's the worst.

I can't speak about all of these businesses, but I agree with the comments here. Pizza Hut and O'Sushi?? Come on! I think the Commission is taking kickbacks or they're just running out of businesses that actually keep up their property.
