Hassan Fawaz walked away from his home in the area of Greenfield and Michigan Avenue between 1:00pm and 5:00pm Monday afternoon. He has been diagnosed with dementia, schizophrenia and type 2 diabetes. He did not take his medications with him.
Mr. Fawaz does not speak English and he does not have any identification with him. He was last seen wearing a tan windbreaker jacket with blue trim and shoulders that appears in his photograph. The jacket has the letters "SF" on the left breast pocket. He was also wearing black pants, and may be wearing a gray baseball cap.
Fawaz is 79-years-old, about 5'1" tall and he weighs about 160 pounds.
If you have any information Mr. Fawaz's whereabouts, please call Dearborn Police at (313) 943-3030.
UPDATE: Mr Fawaz was found and is in good condition with his family. Police did not reveal where they found the Dearborn man.

I was gonna go for a ride and see if I could help find the missing man, however, I first called the police to see if he had found and they stated his family had found him. I was happy to hear that he was found and was safe.
Glad to hear that he was found today by the Redford police.
How does some guy with dementia, mental issues, almost 80 years old and cannot speak the language even get in this country in the first place.
To Ghost - really? Putting a hateful spin on a joyous outcome. Take a good look in the mirror. Hopefully, you will never find yourself in a state of needing help from anyone. With your pleasant attitude, I doubt that anyone would go looking for you.
Hmmm...maybe he was at one of the hookah bars enjoying a smoke. Glad he is safe.
Unlike "Ghost", I'm glad that he was found. My Mother's grandparents came to Dearborn from Warsaw, Poland. When she was younger, my Great Grandmother spoke 7 different languages. But, as she grew older and her mind started failing her, she was only able to communicate in Polish - her native language.
Ghost - stop being ignorant. What is your cultural heritage? Assimilation is not easy - nor is it instant.
